This is what former interns have said about their
experience with theatre arts center:

I just wanted to say thank you again for a wonderful summer (2009). It was such an honor to be part of your program and I really appreciate you granting me that opportunity.
Rebecca Scholl, Theatre & Dance Major, University of Pennsylvania &
Ann Rankin’s Broadway Theatre Project Alum

I just wanted to let you know how happy I am tha I chose to work with TAC this summer(2009).  I had such a wonderful and valuable experience, both in term of teaching and my own development as a performer.  I couldn't have imagines a better opportunity this summer, so thank you for giving it to me.  I will definitely keep TAC in my plans for next summer!
Kate Hughes, Theatre & Dance, The College of William and Mary; Williamsburg, VA

I wanted to personally thank you for this wonder experience (2009).  I had a lot of fun with the kids, and I thought both shows were excellent.  You were a personable, understanding and amiable person to work for and I really appreciated that.  And I admire how accommodating and respectful you were to other people.  You're really a great guy.  I hope to get to work with you again and I am very happy I came across this job in Playbill.com.  I was so happy when you called me and offered me the job!

Matt Mazur, Theatre Major, Playwrights Horizon Studios, NYU

My experience as a senior at TAC in 2003 inspired me to continue in musical theatre. The guest teachers were great, the staff was encouraging, and the environment was fun and constructive at the same time.  I went on to come back as an intern for the Juniors in 2006 and learned basic dance captain skills and got the chance to choreograph and sing in the show.  Everything I was able to accomplish at TAC was beneficial to my skills as a working actor today. I'm now on the national tour of Seussical playing Sour Kangaroo and I'm also the Dance Captain.  I am very thankful for all of the guidance that I received from this program.
Pallavi Sastry, University of Oklahoma, Musical Theatre BFA; 2009 Nat'l Tour, Suessical

T
hank you so much for allowing me this amazing, priceless opportunity.  I have learned so much about myself and had such a great time.  Hope to see you again soon.
Leanne Mercadante, 2008 BFA Acting, Binghamton Univ. & American Conservatory Theatre

I'd just like to thank you for having me at TAC this summer.  I enjoyed every minute of it and I learned a lot. All the staff and Guest Artists were so nice and amazingly talented, and the kids were truly delightful.  My time at Theatre Arts Center seemed to fly by so quickly, but it gave me a good idea of what I'd like to do after I complete my degree.
Zelia Attzs, B.F.A. Musical Theatre & Dance; University of Chester; London, England

Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity.  I've had so much fun and learned so much more than I expected.  I knew this was an interesting program, but I had no idea just how amazing it would be.  Thank you for all your encouragement and guidance.  I appreciate it so much.

Patti DeMateo, DeSalles University, '07 B.F.A. Theatre

T
hank you for a wonderful internship!  I am so lucky to have worked with you this summer.  I deeply admire the work you do at TAC and I want to thank you for letting me be a part of it.
Emily Penick, '07 Penn State, B.F.A. Theatre & Dance

I just want to take the time to thank you once again for everything this summer. I had an absolute blast working for TAC and am so grateful that you gave me this opportunity.  Not only were the kids great (and inspiring), but it was wonderful group of professionals to work with, and I know that the connections I made are going to be invaluable as I move onto the "real world" after graduation this coming spring.  Plus, I think I learned just as much as the students during classes and through talking with the choreographers and guest artists during breaks.  It was definitely an unforgettable month!
Kristen Smiley, '07 BFA Musical Theatre

I want to formally thank you for providing me with this opportunity (summer '06).  I have learned many valuable lessons over the past four weeks and it is rewarding to see that the students have learned something from me as well.  My experience at TAC was a very positive one.  Thanks very much.
Chris Caron, Adelphi University '06, B.F.A.  Acting; 2008-09 Nat'l Tour of FOOTLOOSE

The Theatre Arts Center Summer Program is no ordinary "summer camp."  The talented professionals who contribute to its success are dedicated to drawing out the fullest potential of some truly special young people.  The program was both challenging and rewarding for the students and for the staff.  The students' energy and focus continues to inspire me.  As a full-time drama teacher, I draw on my experience with the kids from that summer in Bucks County every single day.
Ian Waldraff, Temple University '06, B.A.  Theater
Current Drama Instructor with Dramatic English, Hong Kong

"Thank you for your trust and confidence in me over the past four weeks (2006, NYC).  I really did learn a great deal and think I was able to plant some valuable seeds within the students."
Patrick Lynch,  Acting Major, Boston University School of Theatre

"Thank you so much for thinking of me during the Holiday Season.  When I watched the DVD  I was grinning from ear to ear as I recalled the many wonderful memories of my experience with the Theatre Arts Center.  I truly learned a lot from working with such talented choreographers, teachers, interns, and students.  I thank you again for having given me this wonderful opportunity."
Blayne Zucker, Theatre Minor, Syracuse University

"Thank you again for giving me the most fulfilling experience of my life.  My month with the Theatre Arts Center was the best.  I gained wisdom, confidence, friends, mentors, and the magic of teaching... I hope I can be a part of shows with TAC for years to come.
Heather Dolan, New York City Actress

"Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity both for myself and the kids.  What you do here is amazing.  Thank you for your kindness, openness, and help.  I will carry this experience with me for the rest of my life.  I've learned so much.  It's been a joy!

"Being chosen as an intern for Theatre Arts Center was a summer I'll never forget.  It is much more than your regular theatre workshop/internship.  Not only was I able to share my experience with students and see them grow in their performance skills, I was able to work alongside and learn from working theatre professionals (check out the list of teachers!)

I am studying at a conservatory for musical theatre, and I took back with me an amazing experience like no other-- full of helpful contacts, full of vital info, performance training, and a NYC credential to add to my theatre resume.  Theatre Arts Center is a positive and professional theatre environment, and I was thrilled to be a part of this  program."
Katie Palencsar, Musical Theatre Major, Point Park College
